Senior Pastor Kenny Craig: email@example.com
Senior Pastor Kenny Craig has served the Lord in North Carolina and Florida. He came to Chambersburg in 2010 from the Myrtle Grove Baptist Church in Pensacola where he was the Associate Pastor to students. He has also worked on the Southern Baptist Convention’s (SBC) International Mission and North American Mission Boards and the Associations in the areas he has lived. He is married to wife Paula and they have three children.
Pastor Kenny’s philosophy of ministry is “based upon the life and teachings of Jesus Christ.” While he uses a variety of different and dynamic methods, he says that he will never compromise the message of Christ. He has a passion for visiting and for listening to those who are hurting and in need of prayer.
His philosophy of preaching is to “preach the whole counsel of God through an expository method.” He preaches through every book of the Bible as the Holy Spirit leads him.
He believes that the “Holy Bible is the inerrant, infallible, written Word of God and the Bible is the final authority in all areas of wisdom, knowledge, and understanding.”
Pastor Kenny began his walk with Christ at Sunday morning worship services at Ensley First Baptist Church in his home town of Pensacola in 1979. His family moved to the Farm Hill Baptist Church in Pensacola in 1980. He felt the Lord calling him to vocational ministry in 1985 and surrendered to that calling in 1992. He was licensed into the gospel Ministry in that year and was ordained by Farm Hill Baptist Church in 1995.
Pastor Kenny obtained an Associate of Arts in Business in 1993 from Pensacola Junior College, a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a Major in Management in 1995 from the University of West Florida in Pensacola, a Master of Ministry in Bible in 2000 and his Doctor of Ministry in Christian Counseling in 2002 from the Covington Theological Seminary in Rossville, GA.
Assistant Pastor Adam Hedge: firstname.lastname@example.org
Pastor Adam came to know Christ and was baptized in 1991 at Wyandotte Free Will Baptist Church in Mansfield, OH. After graduating high school, he enlisted in the US Army and served 12 years on active duty. It was during this time that he felt God calling him into ministry and eventually into the chaplaincy. He served as a deacon at Cornerstone Fellowship (SBC) while stationed at Tripler Army Medical Center, Hawaii.
Pastor Adam believes that Christians are called to do two things: Love God with everything you have, and love your neighbor as yourself. It is the duty and privilege of all believers to share the Love of Christ with those around them. This love cannot be merely lip-service, but must be demonstrated in our actions.
Pastor Adam believes that all Scripture is “totally true and trustworthy, and the supreme standard by which all human conduct, creeds, and religious opinions should be tried.” The Bible is the way in which God has revealed Himself to man, a sufficient guide, and an infallible rule to salvation and all Christian service. He enjoys preaching and believes that nothing can compare to the transformative power of God’s Word.
Pastor Adam obtained a Certificate in Clinical Laboratory Sciences from George Washington University in Washington, DC; a Bachelor of Science in Psychology: Christian Counseling from Liberty University in Lynchburg, VA; and is currently working on a Master of Divinity in Pastoral Ministry at Evangelical Theological Seminary in Myerstown, PA. Pastor Adam also serves in the US Army Reserves as a Chaplain Candidate as he works to fulfill the requirements to become and Army Chaplain.
Rev. Niel Augustine, Minister to Students: email@example.com
After 20 plus years in the food & beverage industry as a chef, Pastor Niel answered God’s call to ministry in 2003 and has served as pastor for a deaf ministry in Alexandria, VA. For the last six years, he has served as youth pastor in Maryland before answering God’s call to serve at CBC. In addition, Niel has served in deaf prison ministry as well as a Spiritual Director of the Emmaus Walk, Seven Mile Walk with Jesus, CREDO, Kairos, Chrysalis and Kalos ministries.
Pastor Niel is a CODA, “Child of Deaf Adults” and American Sign Language is actually his first language. He is also very fluent in Spanish. Niel is married to his High School sweetheart Charlene and both are very proud of the adults their children Jimmy and Jessica have become. Niel truly enjoys spoiling his grandson Cameron.
Pastor Niel’s philosophy on children, youth and young adult ministries comes from Proverbs 22:6 “Train up a child in the way he should go; and when he is old, he will not depart from it.” And a quote from a Tamil tribe, “Learning acquired in youth is inscribed on stone.” Niel’s passion is to take every part of God’s true written word and bring it alive and made applicable to today’s children, youth and young adults. Guiding them to apply that written Word in their lives as they become all that their heavenly Father created them to be in school, the workplace, ball field, music hall, becoming the leaders to their families, home church and neighborhoods.
Pastor Niel came to know Christ Jesus as his personal Savior as a child in the living room of his grandparent’s apartment in Brooklyn, NY. Later baptized as a member of the Hyattsville Baptist as a youth.
In addition to serving at CBC, Pastor Niel is also an Educational Interpreter for Washington County Public Schools, working with deaf students that are mainstreamed in public school all the while understanding that even in public schools he is a disciple to Christ and in addition to his responsibility to his students, he also has a responsibility to bring the Gospel message to the public school systems.
Pastor Niel loves to fish, play golf and cheer on the New York Mets, Baltimore Orioles and Washington Redskins.
Ms. Jackie Boyer, Director of Music firstname.lastname@example.org
Jackie grew up serving the music ministry in her church near Virginia Beach, VA. After obtaining a Church Music degree from Bluefield College, she went on to serve several churches in VA by leading worship and youth group.
